Waste Prevention & Reuse Case Studies

Waste  prevention  can  save  a business  money  through  purchasing  less products at the outset.  For  example,  if a  restaurant  buys  more  perishable  products than  they can use,  they not only have  to pay to have these materials collected and disposed of,  they have also wasted the money they spent on the purchase in the first place.
Re-using an item, is a green alternative to buying a new one. If more people adopt the practice we will use far less resources, energy and materials. Re-using waste can also have important financial benefits for businesses. For example, if there is a company-wide drive to use both sides of paper, re-use scrap paper and print less, the company paper bill is likely to drop significantly over time.
