The Whitby Esk Energy community hydro project share issue is now under way!
The community scheme, which has planning permission to develop a 50kW Archimedes screw turbine on the River Esk, are hoping to raise the remaining costs for the project from investment by members of the public. The community already has a large percentage of the capital costs secured and are hoping to get the scheme operational during 2012.
