CO2Sense is seeking partnership with businesses, including manufacturers and recyclers, to apply for the Technology Strategy Board Resource Efficiency Supply Chain Innovation competition. The fund, a £4.5 million pot, will be used to finance new collaborative research and development, aimed at encouraging industrial end-users to work with supply chains and innovators to create new products and services for a sustainable economy. It is open for submission of expressions of interest until 2nd November 2011. Businesses seeking inspiration for partnership projects have the opportunity to attend the BCSD Pathway event on 11th October. The Leeds workshop facilitated by CO2Sense focuses on what sustainable development means in operational business terms. This event gives businesses an idea of the risks and opportunities of a low carbon economy, and how businesses can respond to sustainability. Any ideas generated could be funded by the Technology Strategy Board funding, and CO2Sense are ideally placed to partner with businesses seeking to bring these ideas into reality. Matt Hill, Senior Consultant at CO2Sense, said, “CO2Sense’s experience in investment, working with supply chains and our successful track record with the Technology Strategy Board means that we can build strong partnerships with businesses in resource efficiency. Up to £500,000 of Technology Strategy Board funding could be used to support each project, and we want to make sure that businesses can benefit from this opportunity." Those interested should contact Steven Ogden on 0113 237 8416 or steven.ogden@co2sense.co.uk
