Hi All,
I think the answer to my question is 'not really', and I'm interested to hear what you think.
We know that the first UK CCS demonstration project, launched in 2007, will be funded out of general taxation. With the withdrawal of E.ON, the Scottish Power project at Longannet will win that competition - barring some unforeseen technical or logistical issue. We also know that the government are still committed to bringing forward projects 2-4. We are still unsure when, but the government still appear to want to make a call for projects next year. And we know that there will be another consultation on the CCS Levy in combination with revisions to the Climate Change Levy. That feels like a step backwards, but still heading in the right direction - if not at the pace we would like....
