As many of you are aware the regional development agency is due to close on the 31st March 2012 with some responsibility for economic development being given to new Local Enterprise Partnerships. In an effort to shape the future of economic development a business led group called Big Conversation Yorkshire is proposing the formation of a lean regional level body to continue the delivery of high impact, region wide initiatives such as CCS.
Please take a look at their thinking to date, and I would welcome constructive feedback from our stakeholders on if/how/where future CCS support activities are housed and delivered.
Thanks
Steve.
In an interesting postscript, Bernard Ginns of the Yorkshire Post has used CCS as his main example in an article on the future of economic development in the region. You can find it at www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/.../Bernard-Ginns-What-lies-in.6477966.jp
