Mike Greenhalf

Mike is responsible for business support and project development with medium sized composters and organic waste processors ranging from on-farm operations to engineered treatment facilities. He also works with waste collectors and waste management businesses seeking to reduce costs by diverting organic wastes from landfill.

Mike joined the Resource Efficiency Programme within CO2Sense in July 2009 as an Organics Project Manager, after a number of years working in local authority recycling and collection services, followed by a period working in waste management research for Leeds University, where he undertook waste composition analyses, and laboratory sample testing for biodegradability. He holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Environmental Management from Nottingham University and is currently working towards an MSc (Eng) in Sustainable Waste Management at Leeds University.
