CO2Sense launches GHG savings capital investment fund

 12/02/2010

CO2Sense Yorkshire is offering capital funding support to businesses in the resource efficiency sector to make CO2 savings. The Resource Efficiency Programme released a call for projects in December 2009 for its Greenhouse Gas Savings Capital Investment fund, which is now available for projects to bid into to receive capital investment support.

Projects will have until the 1st March 2010 to submit a proposal for funding support for any capital investment that will deliver greenhouse gas savings capacity. For example, this could be a recycling or reprocessing project, or the manufacture of an innovative product that uses recycled material, or reduces energy or water consumption.

Funds will range from £8,000 to £75,000, with a typical investment of £35,000 and will be allocated through a highly competitive process. CO2Sense Yorkshire expects applicants to have investigated funding from other private sector sources first.

Full details about the fund can be accessed by downloading the GHG fund Project Call document and the list of Frequently asked questions. To request a full application pack, please email Jan Phillips on: jan.phillips@co2sense.org.uk

To assist businesses put in a competitive bid to this fund, CO2Sense Yorkshire ran a training event on the 30th of November explaining what level of information we require for successful proposal. The presentations from this event are available to download. These explain the priority areas we want to support, how to fill in the application form, project outputs and the basics of putting together a business plan
