Help Your Company Make the Most of Legislation
If your company spends more than £500k a year on electricity, uses more than 3000 MWh of electricity or has one or more half hourly meters settled on the half hourly market, then the chances are you will be affected by the Carbon Reduction Commitment Energy Efficiency Scheme (CRC). This legislation will impose a mandatory cap-and-trade scheme for CO2 emissions. Some companies will make money from this scheme. Some will lose money.
CO2Sense Yorkshire has developed a training programme to help you to be one of the winners from this new legislation. Carbon Trading Yorkshire (CTY) has been specifically designed to help you to stay within the law, learn how to trade emissions permits and ultimately prosper in a low carbon economy. This is the second phase of the scheme, and we have improved on last year’s programme with a new dedicated trading platform and new fully integrated data inputting and trading system, which will allow you to get a much more realistic view of carbon trading. There will be more emphasis on creating carbon reduction and trading strategies, so that you can be sure that your company will succeed. The events will have experts to give you specific advice on how best to manage your trading, governance and mitigation strategies.
How it will benefit you:
- You can take our CRC Health check, to help you find out if you’re prepared for the new legislation
- You’ll learn the most successful ways of managing governance and trading strategy, from experts in these field, which will give the best chance to make money from this legislation
- You’ll have experience in using real data within a realistic market, on a newly designed fully integrated system, with no financial risk
- You’ll develop carbon reduction strategies that will gain you commercial advantage and help you avoid costly penalties
- You’ll be benchmarked against other participants so that you’ll see instantly how you’re performing
- You’ll gain an ongoing measure of your performance, because you will be reporting the same data as CRC. You will then be able to plan ahead and make the most from the legislation
